Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...

Today we woke up to lots and lots of snow (for these parts of NC)!!! All the schools were closed here yet only about a foot of snow covers the ground. I know we probably would have had school in Ohio because this is nothing compared to the snow storms I experienced growing up. The girls were so excited to see snow and they thought is was so "bad" out there. But, just some flurries falling to the ground and a little wind to make the snow look like a winter wonderland...

Here is Anaya looking around at the snow. She is not too sure that she likes snow and only lasted a few minutes out there. She calls snow 'mo'. Look mama, mo...mo...
Kamelah and I made a snowman with pickle eyes, a carrot nose, and a Twizzler mouth.

Zaria (in the red jacket on the right) and the neighbor kids playing in the wintry weather.

More fun in the snow with the neighbors:

Thank you for the snow Lord. We prayed for snow and we got it!!!! Even Ft. Bragg was closed today. Daddy still had to go in to work but he will not be in the field tonight.
Much love from our snowy covered neck of the woods....

Not Me Monday

Tonight the girls did not do yet another Christmas holiday activity as these pictures were not just taken a couple hours ago:

Since we are talking about the Christmas season, us Johnsons do not still listen to Christmas music and we will not continue to listen to Christmas music through July just like we did not do last year...

We also are still not doing the Jesse Tree devotions in order to finish the book because we were not out of town, or not sick, or not too tired to do them each night consistently...

Who is not still celebrating Christmas out there???

But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you, he is Christ the Lord." -Luke 2:10

Now that is something to celebrate everyday!!!!!

Anticipation

Hello my sweet sweet blog friends. I hope you are still out there and you are probably wondering where I have been right? Probably not but I will tell you anyway...

This is my first blog of the year sooooo Happy New Year!!! I wanted to post earlier but with sickness, migraines, and organizing the house (and still organizing), the days have just come and gone and I haven't been able to sit down and type. The Lord is slowing me down with the sickness that I had and speaking to me to continue to stay and study His word and to trust Him because I will be needing it in the days and months a head. I don't know of course what will happen but I do know to take each day at a time and to focus and enjoy the presence of God throughout my day, even when I am not feeling good. (I have to read that last sentence again to remind myself, yet again...)

Anyway, the girls had their first basketball games this past Saturday and they did well considering it was their first time playing. It was so cute watching them play, especially the younger ones on Zaria's team. I hope to post pics really soon.

I am going to bed now, but will post more really soon...I know you are holding your breath in anticipation.....

Love to you!!!
